SEWARD, Neb. – The Concordia dance team competed in its first competition of the 2016 season on Wednesday. The Bulldogs faced the Hastings Broncos dance squad and came up just short, 90.95-88.15.
The team is coached by Heather Duff who is in her first year at Concordia. Duff is assisted by former Concordia dancer, Alison Schuerman.
Duff said, “We worked really, really hard up to this point. I feel like we were very prepared, but we still have some things to work on. Their energy was there and they were synchronized and I know their hearts were in it. We just need to work some more on technical skills. As a team, we’ve really grown.””
The dance squad will be compete again next Wednesday night at home. The competition will be against Doane College during the halftime of the women’s basketball game which begins at 6 p.m.
