Concordia finishes second in semifinals, advances to finals on Friday

The Concordia University dance team finished second in the semifinals of the 2011 NCA/NDA NAIA Invitational in Florida on Thursday.  The Bulldogs advanced to the finals in the NAIA-Small Dance division. 

Concordia came very close to a first place finish in the semifinals on Thursday morning.  Head coach Jessica Shobe was very impressed with what she saw from her team. 

“We had tremendous energy today,” remarked Shobe.  “The girls really attacked and didn’t let nerves get the best of them.  They went out and had fun.  The practice area was different than the performance area, so it took the girls some time to adjust to that.  However, we’ll be ready for it tomorrow.”

A total of four teams advanced to the finals which are scheduled for Friday starting at noon.
