ANN ARBOR, Mich. – In a competition that took place Saturday morning at the 2015 Concordia Invitational Tournament, head dance and cheer coach Daneen Kovar’s Bulldogs topped Concordia University, Ann Arbor, 97.3 – 74, in Ann Arbor, Mich.

“The dance team has worked very hard to get here today,” Kovar said. “We made changes after our last competition that paid off in today's competition. I'm proud of their hard work and hope it continues throughout the rest of our season.”

Captained by senior Becca Odom, CUNE has competed in two duals this season. The Bulldogs fell by a narrow 82.65 – 81.9 score to Doane inside Walz Arena on Dec. 3. Saturday’s contest marked the season’s final dual as CUNE now looks ahead to the GPAC Dance and Cheer Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 7 in Sioux City, Iowa.

Kovar, now in her fourth season as head coach, is assisted by Sara Halvorsen, a first-year graduate assistant.
