2023-24 CSC Academic All-District At-Large Selections
SEWARD, Neb. – A pair of student-athletes from the Concordia University Competitive Dance program have been honored for their work athletically and academically. On Tuesday (June 25), College Sports Communicators (CSC) rewarded sophomore Taylor Larsen and senior Avery Lewis with 2023-24 Academic All-District® At-Large Team distinction. Both Bulldogs have earned this award for the first time.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to be nominated for this award. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Larsen and Lewis were regulars on the competition dance floor for Head Coach Mandi Maser’s program in 2024. They helped Concordia post an average competition score of 80.57, good for No. 10 among all NAIA dance teams. Larsen was named a 2024 NAIA Third Team All-American. A native of Ravenna, Neb., Larsen is studying Marketing. Meanwhile, the Seward native Lewis graduated this past May after studying Chemistry and Biology. Both Larsen and Lewis were NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
At-Large Academic All-America® honorees will be announced by CSC on July 16-17. The women’s honorees will be revealed on July 16 with men’s award winners to be unveiled the following day.
