The Concordia University dance team finished second in the small dance division at the NAIA Midwest Regional Competition over the weekend in Iowa. The Bulldogs scored a 78% on their routine to finish second in the competition. With that performance, Concordia received a bronze bid to the NDA National Championships in April.
Following a record-breaking 2023 season, Concordia Competitive Dance aspires to reach the national stage in 2024. The list of returnees includes All-GPAC honorees Ryleigh Flesner, Taylor Larsen and Avery Lewis.
A year after placing seventh at the GPAC Championships/NAIA Qualifier event, the Bulldogs have high hopes for 2023. They return six of eight athletes from the qualifying roster and bring in a class of talented freshmen.
Momentum continues to build for Concordia Competitive Dance following a 2021 season of major gains. Haleigh Fitzsimmons leads a group that placed fourth in the GPAC last season while improving its scores across the board.
On the eve of competition season, the Concordia University Dance team carries a new level of confidence into 2021. The Bulldogs will be led by captains Haleigh Fitzsimmons and Michelle Porath.
