2025 CSC Academic All-District Football Teams
SEWARD, Neb. – Eight Bulldogs from the Concordia University, Nebraska Football program were honored on Tuesday (Jan. 6) for their efforts athletically and academically as 2025 Academic All-District award winners, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Three of the Bulldog honorees are repeat Academic All-District recipients: junior Luke Penrod and seniors Jaden Seier and Adam Van Cleave. All eight award winners are listed below.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to be nominated for this award. Nominees also had to meet specific requirements in terms of games played and games started during the 2025 season. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-America® honorees for football will be announced by CSC on Jan. 27.

Notes: First CSC Academic All-District award; 2025 First Team All-GPAC; three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
Luke Penrod | Jr. | DB | Lincoln, Neb.
Major: Biology
Notes: Two-time CSC Academic All-District; two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete; career totals of 123 tackles, 16 pass breakups and four interceptions.
Jonny Puelz | Jr. | WR | Lincoln, Neb.
Major: Business Administration
Notes: First CSC Academic All-District award; 2025 NAIA Scholar-Athlete; in 2025, totaled 31 receptions for 519 yards and nine touchdowns.
Calvin Sassaman | Jr. | RB | Wahoo, Neb.
Major: Biology
Notes: First CSC Academic All-District award; two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete; in 2025, rushed 106 times for 464 yards and three touchdowns.
Terry Sebek | Jr. | DL | Hampton, Neb.
Major: Secondary Education
Notes: First CSC Academic All-District award; 2025 Honorable Mention All-GPAC; two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete; in 2025, totaled 29 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and six sacks.
Jaden Seier | Sr. | DB | Kearney, Neb.
Major: Business Administration
Notes: Two-time CSC Academic All-District; three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete; career totals of 141 tackles, 22 pass breakups and four interceptions.
Gideon Stark | Sr. | QB | Magnolia, Texas
Major: Business Administration
Notes: First CSC Academic All-District award; 2025 Honorable Mention All-GPAC; two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete; in 2025, passed for 2,339 yards and 21 touchdowns.
Adam Van Cleave | Jr. | WR | Lincoln, Neb.
Major: Accounting
Notes: Two-time CSC Academic All-District; two-time GPAC All-Conference (first team in 2025; second team in 2024); two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete; in 2025, totaled 1,346 all-purpose yards and scored 11 touchdowns; career totals of 135 receptions for 1,578 yards and 12 touchdowns.
