AXTELL, Neb. – Windy and cool conditions made for higher scores across the board as golfers from 11 different in-state institutions competed in round one of the annual Nebraska Intercollegiate on Friday (Oct. 6). The Concordia University Men’s Golf team will enter day two in fifth place after shooting a 318 at Awarri Dunes Golf Course in Axtell, Neb. Bellevue University leads the pack with a 302.
This will be the final event of the fall season for Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad. The varsity team had been idle since placing fifth at the Hastings Invite (Sept. 25-26).
Complete Bulldog scores from day one are listed below. Steady veteran Drew D’Ercole handled the difficult conditions and shot a two-over-par 74 on Friday. He sits four strokes off tournament leader Dylan Rogers (Bellevue), who shot two-under-par. There are 55 total individual golfers in the field at the Nebraska Intercollegiate.
