YORK, Neb. – Concordia University Men’s Golf got the best of rival Doane in the ninth annual Bulldog-Tiger Cup contested on a blustery and cold Saturday (April 15) at York Country Club in York, Neb. In an event that featured a best ball competition and singles match play, the Bulldogs won by a score of 10-8. As a result, Concordia cut into Doane’s all-time cup series lead, which now stands at 6-3.
Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad was especially successful on Saturday in the best ball competition, winning that category, 4.5 to 1.5. The Tigers made a push by getting the best of the Bulldogs in singles matches, 7.5 to 5.5. Four Concordia players won their singles matches: Drew D’Ercole, Josh D’Ercole, Taylor Johnson and Jacob Woodmancy. Full results are included below. Twelve Bulldogs competed in the event.
