2022-23 Academic All-America At-Large Teams
SEWARD, Neb. – The postseason accolades have streamed in for Concordia University Golf standout Drew D’Ercole. On Wednesday (June 21), College Sports Communicators (CSC) honored D’Ercole as a 2022-23 NAIA Academic All-America® Second Team At-Large selection. Thirty-four NAIA student-athletes garnered either first or Second Team All-America accolades in the at-large category. The at-large breakdown includes sports such as golf, wrestling, men’s volleyball, lacrosse, bowling and competitive cheer and dance.
The 2022-23 Academic All-America® At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to be nominated for this award. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
For the 2022-23 academic year, D’Ercole has collected the following awards:

· First Team All-GPAC
· NAIA Scholar-Athlete
· GPAC Golfer of the Week (April 19)
A Papillion, Neb., native, D’Ercole has enjoyed a stellar four-year Concordia career. During the 2022-23 season, D’Ercole carded a team low average score of 74.2 over 21 rounds and placed in a tie for 16th in the GPAC. His top performances of the year included a fourth-place finish at the Midwest Spring National Invite and a fifth-place claim at the Nebraska Intercollegiate. He was named the GPAC Golfer of the Week on April 19. Over the course of his career, D’Ercole has recorded seven top-10 tournament placements and four top-five tournament finishes. D’Ercole won an individual championship at the 2021 Doane Spring Invite. He owns a career scoring average of 76.3 in 67 rounds. An NAIA Scholar-Athlete, D’Ercole was twice named Honorable Mention All-GPAC before being chosen to the first team in 2023. He graduated in May with degrees in Recreation and Sport Studies and Business Administration.
In Concordia Golf history, D’Ercole becomes the program’s second student-athlete to be named an Academic All-American by CSC (formerly known as College Sports Information Directors of America). Past GPAC champion Amy Ahlers earned Academic All-America awards in 2016 and 2017.
