CAIRO, Neb. – Senior Jude Elgert took advantage of pleasant weather conditions in round two of the annual Nebraska Intercollegiate and earned a medal winning placement. Elgert and his Concordia University, Nebraska Men’s Golf teammates concluded the two-day event (Oct. 5-6) in sixth place out of eight Nebraska institutions. The Bulldogs carded a two-round score of 321-311–632 (+56) while navigating Centura Hills Golf Club in Cairo, Neb.
The tournament marked the final varsity outing of the fall semester for Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad. Though the Bulldogs improved their scores in round two, they fell back two spots compared to their positioning on the team leaderboard after Monday.
“Scores were definitely better today,” Muller said. “We knew we'd have to score a lot better and shoot a much lower score just because of the more favorable conditions. Jude had a very nice tournament – great round today. He finished in the top 10 and medaled, which was great to see. It was a good ending to the fall season for Jude.”
A Yutan, Neb., native, Elgert shot a 78 in Monday’s breezy round. He then tidied up his game and carded a one-over-par 73 in round two, moving him from ninth into a tie for sixth on the final individual leaderboard. The top 10 place finishers each received individual medals. With his performance this week, Elgert wrapped up the fall as the team’s scoring average leader (77.0 in 13 rounds).
Sophomore Tyler Weismann stood even with Elgert after Monday’s round. The Gibbon, Neb., native Weismann fell back to 15th with a two-round score of 78-78–156. The remainder of the lineup included sophomores Logan Krabbenhoft (82-81–163; T-25th) and Calvin Zabloudil (83-84–167; 31st) and junior Landon Weinandt (98-79–177; 39th). Zabloudil took ninth place at the 2025 Nebraska Intercollegiate.
On the tournament’s team leaderboard, Concordia trailed Doane (595), Southeast Community College (617), Midland (620), Central Community College (630) and Hastings (630). The Bulldogs placed in front of York University (652) and McCook Community College (652).
