SEWARD, Neb. – On the heels of placing fourth at the 2024 GPAC Golf Championships, Concordia University graduate student Drew D’Ercole has pulled in another honor. On Tuesday (May 21), the Golf Coaches Association of America announced D’Ercole as one of 15 selections to the 2024 NAIA PING Central All-Region Team. D’Ercole has garnered this award for the second-straight year.
A native of Papillion, Neb., D’Ercole has been recognized throughout his collegiate career for his efforts both in the classroom and on the golf course. D’Ercole’s 2023-24 accolades have included First Team All-GPAC, NAIA Scholar-Athlete and NAIA All-Region distinction with the possibility of additional postseason awards to come.

D’Ercole finished his college career in strong fashion as he placed in a tie for fourth at the 2024 GPAC Championships. The fifth-year Bulldog shot a three-round conference total of 69-77-75–221. The 2023-24 season for D’Ercole included four top-five tournament finishes, five top-10 placements and an 18-hole scoring average of 74.4 (25 rounds). His season low of 68 came in the opening round of the season at the UC Ferguson Classic. In major highlights, D’Ercole placed fourth at the Blue River Classic, fourth at the Nebraska Intercollegiate, fourth at the Graceland Invite and fourth at the conference tournament.
Following the GPAC tournament, Concordia Head Golf Coach Brett Muller said the following about D’Ercole, “Drew had a great career. We thought he had a legitimate shot to push for the individual GPAC title. Drew to date is one of the best golfers in school history. He’s in the same conversation as Nolan Zikas and Shawn Rodehorst.”
