SEWARD, Neb. – Recognition came the way of the Concordia University Men’s Golf program on Tuesday (July 30) via the Golf Coaches Association of America. The GCAA announced the Bulldogs as a 2023-24 Outstanding Team Academic Award recipient. Head Coach Brett Muller’s program was one of eight in the entire NAIA to achieve Presidents Special Recognition, which requires a team grade-point average of at least 3.5. There were 240 schools across six divisions that earned Outstanding Team Academic awards.
The 2023-24 Concordia Men’s Golf Team also placed five individuals on the list of NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Two of those Bulldogs were also recently lauded as Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the GCAA: Drew D’Ercole and Justin Webert. Other Scholar-Athletes were Gavin Buttshaw, Jake Hagerbaumer and Jacob Woodmancy.
