2023-24 CSC Academic All-District At-Large Selections
SEWARD, Neb. – A trio of Bulldogs from the Concordia University Men’s Golf program landed on the list of 2023-24 Academic All-District® At-Large selections released on Tuesday (June 25) by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The organization lauded Drew D’Ercole, Jake Hagerbaumer and Justin Webert with all-district accolades. The accomplished D’Ercole has earned this recognition in back-to-back years while Hagerbaumer and Webert are first time honorees.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Student-athletes must achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to be nominated for this award. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
The three award winners from Head Coach Brett Muller’s program were each regulars in the varsity lineup. Having completed five years as a Bulldog, D’Ercole (Papillion, Neb.) has put together an impressive resume that includes four GPAC All-Conference awards. He wrapped up his collegiate playing career by placing fourth at the conference tournament. In addition, D’Ercole has twice been named an NAIA PING Central All-Region award winner and has been recognized as an Academic All-American by CSC and an All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America. He is a four-time NAIA Scholar Athlete. D’Ercole’s golf career included eight top-five and 13 top-10 tournament finishes. He majored in Recreation and Sport Studies and Business Administration.
A Lincoln, Neb., native, Webert served as the team’s No. 2 golfer this past season with an 18-hole average of 76.6. Webert has also been honored as a GCAA Scholar All-American and a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete as an Accounting major. Meanwhile, the Hooper, Neb., native Hagerbaumer has earned similar academic awards as a GCAA Scholar All-American and NAIA Scholar-Athlete. The Business Administration major averaged a score of 78.2 this past season.
At-Large Academic All-America® honorees will be announced by CSC on July 16-17. The women’s honorees will be revealed on July 16 with men’s award winners to be unveiled the following day.
