
SEWARD, Neb. – Nine total varsity events throughout the 2025-26 athletic season have led up to the 2026 GPAC Men’s Golf Championship. The Concordia University, Nebraska Men’s Golf team will continue preparations heading into the conference tournament set for this coming Monday-Tuesday (April 20-21). The ’26 GPAC Championships will be held at Dakota Dunes Country Club in Dakota Dunes, S.D., a location that last hosted the conference event in 2021. Head Coach Brett Muller’s squad will be looking to move up after placing 10th in the GPAC last season.

By the numbers
· In three varsity tournaments this spring, the Bulldogs placed 12th out of 13 at the Maverick Desert Classic (March 9-10), eighth out of 19 at the Doane Spring Invite (March 17-18) and seventh out of 14 at the Bethel College (Kan.) Invite (March 28-29). Concordia also fell in its annual rivalry matchup with Doane in the Bulldog-Tiger Cup (April 11). Through 19 varsity rounds (eight events), the Bulldogs have averaged an 18-hole team score of 313.2.
· Concordia hopes to bottle up its performance from round two of the Doane Invite (March 18) when it shot a school record 18-hole score of two-under-par 278 (the previous standard had been a one-under-par 283 in August 2022). Three Bulldogs shot their career lows for a single round: seniors Jake Richmond (-3; 67) and Brock Rogers (-2; 68) and freshman Calvin Zabloudil (-1; 69). The team’s second best score of the 2025-26 season was a 299 in round three of the Siouxland Invite back in the fall.
· On the season, there are six Concordia players averaging scores below 80: Jake Richmond (77.0), Calvin Zabloudil (78.2), Logan Krabbenhoft (78.9), Jude Elgert (79.1), Tyler Weismann (79.1) and Charles Summy (79.9). The Bulldogs have combined for five individual rounds of par or better with three turned in by the freshman Zabloudil. The Omaha native’s top tournament place finish was ninth at the Nebraska Intercollegiate in the fall. More recently, Richmond placed 16th (out of 107) at the Doane Invite with his two-round total of 77-67–144.
· At the 2025 GPAC Championships, Concordia placed 10th while shooting 317-313-318–948 at Beatrice Country Club in Beatrice, Neb. There were four Bulldogs who played all three rounds and qualified for the conference individual leaderboard: Jake Richmond (74-74-80–228; 23rd), Justin Webert (82-82-74–238; T-38th), Jaxson Fullerton (79-79-82–240; T-41st) and Jacob Dowd (82-81-82–245; 45th). Brock Rogers and Jake Hagerbaumer also competed.
· Over the previous five seasons, the program has recorded GPAC place finishes of 10th in 2024-25, ninth in 2023-24, fifth in 2022-23, sixth in 2021-22 and ninth in 2020-21. Concordia’s highest placing individuals by year during that same stretch were Jake Richmond (23rd in 2024-25), Drew D’Ercole (fourth in 2023-24; 16th in 2022-23; 21st in 2020-21) and Ivan Yabut (fifth in 2021-22). Northwestern is the reigning GPAC champion. The conference champion earns an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships.
