2024-25 Concordia Powerlifting Schedule
SEWARD, Neb. – Year three of Concordia University Powerlifting is slated to get underway this October. The program has announced a schedule complete with five competitions throughout the 2024-25 campaign. The action will get started on Oct. 12 with the Husker Strong Collegiate Meet. For the second-straight year, the Bulldogs will also host their own meet.
Head Coach Freddie Myles enters his third season leading a program that he built from scratch. This past season, Myles traveled 17 athletes to the USA Powerlifting Collegiate National Championships. That group included 52 kg national runner up Rylee Ladd and 140 kg fifth-place finisher Will Peterson. From a team perspective, Concordia placed ninth (out of 109 teams) on the women’s side and 19th (out of 110 teams) on the men’s side.
Following the Husker Strong Meet, the Bulldogs will continue the 2024-25 season with the Central Collegiate Cup Series (Nov. 23-24), the Nebraska State Powerlifting Meet (Jan. 25), the 2025 USA Powerlifting Collegiate National Championships (April 3-6) and the Concordia Collegiate Powerlifting Meet (April 12). The national championships will be staged in Oklahoma City, Okla. The home meet slated for mid-April has been booked to take place inside the Walz Fieldhouse. Last year’s home competition was staged inside the PE Center Gym.
