Kansas Wesleyan and Dordt will be the next challengers to Concordia's sparkling 7-0 record. The Bulldogs are looking to duplicate the results they enjoyed last season against this week's foes.
Chalk this one up as another workmanlike effort for a Bulldog squad that just keeps finding ways to win. Concordia moved to 7-0 by knocking off Northwestern while Jason Weides jumped to the top of the program wins list.
Carlos Ferrer knocked in a pair of goals while helping Concordia build a commanding 3-0 lead in yet another Bulldog victory on Tuesday (Sept. 17). Concordia defeated Bellevue and moved to 6-0.
Two challenges await the Bulldogs this week as they attempt to keep their unblemished record intact. Concordia is 5-0 for the first time under 12th-year head coach Jason Weides. The Bulldogs will be at home on Saturday.
With a business-like approach, the Bulldogs blew out Presentation, 9-0, in Aberdeen, S.D., on Saturday (Sept. 14). Ryan LeTourneau went for a hat trick as Concordia moved to 5-0.
On Wednesday (Sept. 11), Concordia and McPherson duplicated the exact result from their meeting a year earlier - a 3-2 overtime victory for Concordia. This time Roger de la Villa played the part of the hero.
Concordia will hit the road twice this week as it looks to protect an unblemished record. The Bulldogs have jumped out to a 3-0 start for the fourth time during head coach Jason Weides' 12-year tenure.
Concordia faced its first deficit of the 2019 season and still passed the test while up against MidAmerica Nazarene on Saturday (Sept. 7). Moises Jacobo and David Carrasco scored goals in the 2-1 win.
A layoff of 10 days without a game will end on Saturday when Concordia is slated to host MidAmerica Nazarene in a matinee affair. The Bulldogs are 2-0 with two shutout victories.
