A 1-1 week leads into matchups this week against Midland and Dakota Wesleyan. In early conference action, the Bulldogs have earned two shutout wins while being defeated by Northwestern, 1-0.
In a matchup of teams that entered the day with 2-0 GPAC records, Northwestern remained unblemished within conference play by edging Concordia, 1-0, in Orange City, Iowa, on Saturday (Sept. 25).
For the eighth year in a row, Concordia Men's Soccer has been recognized with the United Soccer Coaches College Men’s Team Academic Award. The Bulldogs also totaled 11 NAIA Scholar-Athletes for 2020-21.
Eli Rhodes got Concordia off to a strong start with a goal less than two minutes into action on Wednesday (Sept. 23). It was all the Bulldogs needed offensively in a 1-0 home win over Dordt.
The Bulldogs got back into the win column over the weekend and now look to build upon that result as they take on Dordt and Northwestern. The latter matchup is a rematch of last season's GPAC quarterfinals.
Garrett Perry and Yessine Bessaïes both emerged with impressive goals as part of a 2-0 win over Mount Marty on Saturday (Sept. 18). The Bulldogs ended a streak of four-straight games without a victory.
Concordia again showed how close it is to turning a corner while dropping a 2-1 decision at 10th-ranked Bellevue on Wednesday (Sept. 15). David Moreno notched the lone goal for the Bulldogs (2-3-1).
After a weekend off, Concordia will return to action with a road trip to No. 8 Bellevue and a home matchup with Mount Marty. The Bulldogs hope to get back into the win column following last week's defeat.
Despite having the statistical advantage, the Bulldogs came up short on the scoreboard in a 2-1 loss to Benedictine on Wednesday (Sept. 8). Jarrod Henson notched the first goal of his collegiate career.
Less than six months will separate matchups between Concordia and Benedictine. The Bulldogs will host the Ravens on Wednesday while looking to avenge a 2-0 defeat from the spring.
