SEWARD, Neb. – The lady Bulldog softball team will open its season on Feb. 12 at the Cowtown Classic Tournament in Dallas, Texas. The defending GPAC tournament champions will host six games in Seward. A rematch contest of the GPAC tournament championship game will be April 9 at Morningside.
The schedule is highlighted by a spring break trip to Tucson, Ariz. March 6-11. Of the 23 games, CUNE will face GPAC foes in 12 contests. The defending regular season GPAC champs, Doane, will host the ‘Dogs March 30 in Crete, Neb.
A tilt with Dordt College on April 30 at home will wrap up the regular season slate. The GPAC tournament will be played May 4-5, 7 where the Bulldogs hope to achieve its third GPAC championship. Last season, CUNE entered the tournament as the seventh seed and knocked off fifth seed Morningside taking the best of three series in two games, gaining a berth into the NAIA championship for the second straight year.
