SEWARD, Neb. – The 2025 Concordia University, Nebraska Softball season will begin inside the confines of the American State Bank Sports Complex in Sioux Center, Iowa. The location is the same one the Bulldogs ended their 2024 season as part of the GPAC tournament. In action this weekend (Feb. 1-2), Head Coach Brock Culler’s squad will take on Mayville State University (N.D.), University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) and Culver-Stockton College (Mo.). The matchups are part of a series of softball games that will be held at the complex.

The Bulldogs return seven players who earned GPAC All-Conference honors in 2024: Megan Eurich (first team), Aubrey Bruning (second team), Aubriana Krieser (second team), Kylie Shottenkirk (second team), Jennifer Katz (honorable mention), Laycee Josoff (honorable mention) and Delanie Voshell (honorable mention). The ’24 team finished at 23-25 overall (13-9 GPAC) and placed in a tie for third in the conference. Concordia landed at No. 5 in the GPAC preseason coaches’ poll released on Jan. 23. The top four teams in the poll were Northwestern, Midland, Dordt and Morningside.

Weekend opponents
Mayville State finished 2024 at 16-31 and is a member of the NAIA’s North Star Athletic Association. Before taking on the Bulldogs on Saturday, the Comets will play a single game against both York University and Dordt on Friday. The program is led by Jordan Olson, the former head coach at Doane.
Sioux Falls competes as a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference at the NCAA Division II level. The Cougars finished last with a 20-28 record and are picked ninth in their league’s 2025 preseason poll. Head Coach Erin Bly enters her second season at Sioux Falls after previously serving the same role at Briar Cliff for five seasons. The NSIC named outfielder Alannah Naumann and pitcher Maddi Duncan as preseason players to watch from USF.
Culver-Stockton is coming off a 2024 campaign that saw it go 18-32 overall. The Wildcats are a member of the NAIA’s Heart of America Athletic Conference. Culver-Stockton will get a good look at the GPAC this weekend as it faces Northwestern, Dakota Wesleyan, Doane and Dordt prior to taking on Concordia. Culver-Stockton returns second team all-conference outfielder Kataleena Hunt.
