2022 Concordia Softball Schedule | PDF
SEWARD, Neb. – The Concordia University Softball program has released its 2022 schedule to the public, as announced on Friday (Nov. 12). Head Coach Tatum Edwards will make her official debut on Feb. 19 when the Bulldogs open their season with a doubleheader at the University of Saint Mary. The slate will feature nonconference trips to Wichita, Kan., and Tucson, Ariz., and 11 conference doubleheaders.
This will be a new era for the program. Members of the team began to get accustomed to Edwards’ style during the fall practice season. A native of Murrieta, Calif., Edwards previously served as the top assistant at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and was a standout pitcher and hitter during her collegiate career at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She takes over a program coming off a national tournament appearance and a 32-13 overall record.
As part of the 2022 nonconference schedule, the Bulldogs will compete in the Friends University Invitational and the Tucson Invitational in Tucson over spring break. Conference play is scheduled to open on March 19 with a twin bill at Midland. Concordia and Midland met in last season’s GPAC Championship Series. The first home appearance of the season is slated for March 23 versus College of Saint Mary.
Pod play at the GPAC tournament will run May 4-5 at the home sites of the top two seeds in the final conference standings. The GPAC Championship Series is slated for May 7. Dates for the NAIA Softball National Championship are May 16-18 for the opening round and May 25-June 1 for the World Series. Columbus, Ga., will again serve as the location for the NAIA World Series.
