2024 Concordia Softball Schedule
SEWARD, Neb. – The Concordia University Softball program has announced its 2024 schedule, which will number 50 regular season contests once all nonconference invites are finalized. The Bulldogs are slated to officially open the ’24 campaign with a doubleheader against NCAA Division II Minnesota State University Moorhead on Feb. 3. As of the fall semester, Head Coach Brock Culler’s squad has earnestly gotten back to the diamond at Plum Creek Park for practice.
Culler and company are confident they will take a significant step forward from the 2023 campaign. The Bulldogs will return All-GPAC honorees in Hanna Bowers, Aubrey Bruning and Kylie Shottenkirk. In addition, a strong recruiting class includes 10 freshmen and three transfers.
The 2024 schedule mirrors the 2023 slate in that it will feature competition at the Kansas City NAIA Softball Invite (Feb. 17-18), the Friends University Invitational (March 1-2) and the Tucson Invitational (March 5-8). Opponents for those events will be announced at a later date. The season opening doubleheader versus Minnesota State Moorhead is set to take place at America Bank Sports Complex on the Dordt campus. Other nonconference foes will be Ottawa University (Kan.), University of Saint Mary (Kan.), Benedictine College (Kan.), Nebraska Wesleyan University and Peru State College.
The first home appearance of the campaign is scheduled to take place on March 16 when Peru State is set to visit Seward. The Bulldogs will open the conference season four days later with a twin bill at Midland. Concordia will wrap up the regular season by hosting Dordt on April 27.
GPAC tournament pod play will run May 1-2 with the conference championship series on the docket for May 4. Dates for the opening round of the NAIA National Championship are May 13-16 with the NAIA Softball World Series to follow May 23-29 in Columbus, Ga.
