Concordia is getting set to take on No. 22 Grand View on the first day of the 2021 NAIA Opening Round. The Bulldogs will make their way to Chickasha, Okla., for national tournament action.
A group of six Bulldogs from the national qualifying Concordia Softball team has landed on the GPAC all-conference lists. Hhana Haro, Caitlyn McGarvie and Camry Moore were named first team.
As it learned on Tuesday (May 11), Concordia Softball will be headed to Chickasha, Okla., for the NAIA National Championship Opening Round, set to play out May 17-19.
Concordia ran into a buzz saw in the GPAC Championship Series and lost twice to No. 25 Midland. The national tournament is up next for the Bulldogs (32-11).
Concordia and Midland will battle for the GPAC tournament title when they play a best-of-three series in Fremont on Saturday. The two sides split a regular season doubleheader.
Behind another starring performance from Camry Moore, Concordia Softball has advanced to the GPAC Championship Series. The Bulldogs took down Morningside, 4-0, on Thursday (May 6).
On day one of the GPAC tournament, Concordia Softball made noise by going 2-0 with wins over Doane and No. 13 Morningside. The Bulldogs moved to 31-9 overall.
For four years, Hhana Haro and Tori Homolka have shined as the backbone of Concordia Softball. Time is ticking on their college careers, but the memories will last forever.
As the No. 3 seed in the GPAC, the Bulldogs will take part in the Morningside Bracket of the GPAC tournament. Action will begin Wednesday morning from Sioux City, Iowa.
The regular season came to a close on Sunday (May 2) as the Bulldogs twice defeated Dakota Wesleyan in run-rule affairs. Concordia has locked up the No. 3 seed in the GPAC tournament.

A 17-game fall exhibition slate did nothing to dampen the spirits of a Concordia University softball program coming off back-to-back appearances at the NAIA national tournament. If anything, it only whetted appetites for spring 2016.
In 2014 then first-year head coach Todd LaVelle guided the Concordia University softball team to its first-ever national tournament appearance. A year later the Bulldogs captured the program’s first-ever win on the national stage.
For the second time in program history, and for the first time since 2007, the Concordia University softball team has earned the distinction of GPAC tournament champion.
