On the heels of a 6-2 start, the Concordia Softball team now prepares for trips to Wichita, Kan., and Tucson, Ariz., as part of an intense spring break slate. The Bulldogs are scheduled to play 11 games from March 4 through 11.
Julia Van Wey starred at the plate and Megan Eurich and Camry Moore turned in fine pitching performances as the Bulldogs completed a four-game sweep of Mayville State. They won by scores of 8-4 and 3-2 on Sunday (Feb. 27).
Camry Moore and Jerzi Rowe earned victories in the circle and the Bulldog bats combined for 23 hits in a doubleheader sweep of Mayville State on Saturday (Feb. 26). Concordia won by scores of 3-2 and 12-2 (five innings).
Due to cold and wintry-like conditions in the forecast, the Concordia Softball program has canceled home doubleheaders it had scheduled with Mayville State University (N.D.) this Friday and Saturday.
After getting shutout in the first of two at the University of Saint Mary on Monday (Feb. 21), the Bulldogs rebounded with nine hits in game two and split the doubleheader. Jerzi Rowe fired a game in the second contest.
Tatum Edwards made her official debut as a head coach on Sunday (Feb. 20) as the Concordia Softball team opened the 2022 season with a doubleheader split at Benedictine. Camry Moore pitched a gem in game one and then went 5-for-5 in game two.
At long last, Concordia Softball will open the 2022 season this weekend (Feb. 19-20) while venturing down to Kansas for doubleheaders at the University of Saint Mary and Benedictine College. Tatum Edwards will make her debut as head coach.
In the 2022 GPAC Softball Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the Bulldogs garnered one first-place vote and landed at No. 4. Concordia is coming off a season that saw it tie for third in the GPAC and reach the conference postseason championship.
Camry has been all that and 'Moore' for Concordia Softball. The Crete High School product entered the program with incredibly high expectations and has delivered. Moore is ready to soak up one more season with the Bulldogs.
Concordia Softball will look a bit different in 2022 as Tatum Edwards begins her first season as head coach and the Bulldogs replace five starters. Leadership will come from veteran all-conference performers such as Camry Moore and Kylee Nixon.

A 17-game fall exhibition slate did nothing to dampen the spirits of a Concordia University softball program coming off back-to-back appearances at the NAIA national tournament. If anything, it only whetted appetites for spring 2016.
In 2014 then first-year head coach Todd LaVelle guided the Concordia University softball team to its first-ever national tournament appearance. A year later the Bulldogs captured the program’s first-ever win on the national stage.
For the second time in program history, and for the first time since 2007, the Concordia University softball team has earned the distinction of GPAC tournament champion.
