Thirty percent of the league schedule is coming up in a week of road trips for Concordia softball. Up next is a showdown at Morningside. The Bulldogs are ranked second in the official GPAC poll.
Hhano Haro pounded out five of the team's 24 hits in a doubleheader sweep of Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday (April 6). The Bulldogs have now won 15 of their last 16 after taking two run-rule shortened games.
If all goes as planned, the Concordia softball team will finally appear at home. The Bulldogs are scheduled to host Jamestown on Friday and Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday. Concordia owns a 12-game win streak.
Tori Homolka has done with the bat while Brittany Woolridge has done it with her pitching arm. Their impressive results in recent action led to Concordia sweeping GPAC weekly awards.
Tori Homolka and Brittany Woolridge turned in standout performances in a doubleheader sweep of Doane at Crete High School on Wednesday (March 27). The Bulldogs won by scores of 6-4 and 5-0.
A catalyst in the team's active 10-game win streak, sophomore Tori Homolka has been named the GPAC Player of the Week. Homolka went 6-for-8 in last week's doubleheader sweep of Ottawa.
Conference play is upon the Bulldog softball team, which has won 10 games in a row. Concordia will take on Doane at Crete High School on Wednesday before making a trip to Northwestern on Saturday.
With the help of red hot Tori Homolka, the Bulldog softball team returned to action and took two games at Ottawa University (Kan.) on Friday (March 22). Concordia won by scores of 10-5 (8 inn.) and 5-3.
With the wealth of postponements/cancelations that have occurred this season, the Bulldogs were thankful to pick up a doubleheader Friday (March 22) at Ottawa.
Due to poor field conditions, the softball doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday (March 20) between Concordia and Nebraska Wesleyan has been postponed. A makeup date is to be determined.
