Concordia softball has postponed its scheduled Sunday (April 2) doubleheader versus Morningside. A makeup date is yet to be determined.

Megan Ruppert collected five hits and one of four Bulldog home runs in Friday's doubleheader split at Hastings. Concordia rebounded from a game 1 loss with a 5-4 win in the night cap.

Head coach Todd LaVelle's squad is now scheduled to play a doubleheader at Hastings on Friday (March 31). The twin bill has twice been postponed due to inclement weather.

Both GPAC weekly softball awards have wrapped up by Concordia. Kylie Harpst has been named GPAC player of the week and Michaela Woodward has been tabbed GPAC pitcher of the week.

Concordia is riding a six-game win streak following a doubleheader sweep at Briar Cliff on Sunday. The Bulldogs pounded out a combined 25 hits while improving to 19-7 overall.

Due to inclement weather and poor field conditions, the doubleheader between Concordia and Briar Cliff has been moved back to Sunday. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. CT.

The middle infield combo of Leah Kalkwarf and Jamie Lefebure made big plays while helping lead Concordia (17-7) to a doubleheader sweep of Nebraska Wesleyan on Thursday. Kalkwarf enjoyed a 5-for-8 day at the plate.

Kylie Harpst did it all on Tuesday night. She drove in eight runs, provided the game-winning hit in game 2 and was the winning pitcher in the night cap. She led the Bulldogs (15-7, 2-2) to a sweep of Doane.

Concordia softball will aim for its first conference wins of 2017 when it hosts Doane at Plum Creek Park on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are also scheduled to be at home on Thursday and on the road on Saturday.

It’s been a process, but the transformation of Concordia Softball under Head Coach Brock Culler has entered another phase. Coming off a third-place GPAC finish, the Bulldogs believe they are primed for more in 2025.
As Head Coach Brock Culler says, "The feel is there. It's real." Concordia Softball carried momentum from its 2024 late season surge into fall ball. The roster includes a nice mix of veterans (nine seniors) and newcomers (17).
While becoming the winningest coach in Concordia Softball history, Frank Greene served as an example of what really matters. Coach Greene was someone who worked tirelessly to supply his players a first-class experience.
While sitting at 2-6 in league play (12-20 overall) in early April, the Bulldogs faced a crossroads in their 2024 season. The Bulldogs responded by winning 10 of their next 11 games in a surge that gave the program a jolt heading into 2025.
The energy and enthusiasm within the Concordia Softball program displays a picture of a group eager to turn the page to 2024. Coach Brock Culler will put to use three returning All-GPAC players, a host of veterans and a talented bunch of newcomers.
