SEWARD, Neb. – A standout in last week’s 9-0 win over Northwestern, Concordia University sophomore Jeremy Berryman has been named the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, as announced on Wednesday (March 20). Berryman is the first GPAC tennis award winner of the 2018-19 season.

A native of Broken Arrow, Okla., Berryman did not even drop a game in a 6-0, 6-0, win over Peyton Scott of the Red Raiders at No. 3 singles in the match that took place in Lincoln, Neb., on March 16. In doubles play, Berryman teamed up with Thomas Greeff on an 8-1 victory at the No. 1 spot. It was the first time that Berryman had paired with Greeff this season. Berryman now owns records of 5-4 in singles (tied for the team lead in singles wins) and 3-6 in doubles.

Berryman and the Bulldogs (5-4, 1-0 GPAC) are slated to return to action on Thursday (March 21) with a contest at Nebraska Wesleyan University (2-7). First serve is set for 4 p.m. CT from Woods Park in Lincoln, Neb.
