
SEWARD, Neb. – The International Tennis Association (ITA) announced on Thursday (July 24) six NAIA Scholar-Athletes from Concordia University, Nebraska men’s tennis. The Bulldogs, which earned the honor, were Michael Bedrosian, Ben Chisholm, Mitch Krumm, Manuel Rodriguez, Nick Velders and Grady Works. CUNE was also one of 23 squads to make the ITA all-academic teams list.
To be elected for the honor, each student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and be eligible as an athlete. To be chosen as an all-academic team, they must have a collective grade point average of 3.2, and all students listed, including all varsity players, must be eligible. This year, 186 NAIA men’s student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
Rodriguez, Velders, and Works also made the CSC Academic all-district team for the 2024-25 season. Velders continued academic success and claimed a CSC First Team All-American honor.
The men won 14 duals last year and tied for the most in school history with the 2010 campaign.
