Eight Bulldogs named to All-GPAC Tennis teams

Men's and women's squads each have four recognized

The stellar play of eight members of the Concordia University, Nebraska, tennis programs were recognized on Thursday, May 10 with All-GPAC selection.

Four players from each team were recognized with All-GPAC selection as seniors Danny Frastaci (Parma, Ohio) and Jeremy Jank (Hastings, Neb), junior Cole Egger (Galva, Iowa) and sophomore Nathan Wingfield (Greendale, Wis.) nabbed the honor for the men's team.  Receiving honors for the women were juniors Lindsea Vaudt (Kalispell, Mon.) and Mikaela Barz (San Antonio, Texas), sophomore Katelyn Koll (Wilber, Neb.) and freshman Grace Hollenbeck (Wheat Ridge, Colo.).

Frastaci and Wingfield were named to the All-GPAC team in singles, while Jank and Eggar received Honorable Mention in singles.  Frastaci and Wingfield both led Concordia with a 4-2 record in GPAC matches. 

The team of Eggar and Wingfield nabbed a spot on the All-GPAC doubles team with a 3-3 record in GPAC matches, while the tandem of Jank and Frastaci earned Honorable Mention.

Koll was the lone women's player to earn a spot on the All-GPAC team in singles play, while Hollenbeck and Barz received Honorable Mention in singles.  Koll was 6-1 in GPAC matches this season at the top singles position and was recognized as the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for April 16 – 22.

Koll and doubles partner Vaudt record of 5-2 in conference matches earned the duo a spot on the All-GPAC doubles team.
