2022-23 Concordia Men’s Tennis Schedule
SEWARD, Neb. – The spring portion of the 2022-23 Concordia University Men’s Tennis schedule has been unveiled. Head Coach Cam Long will take his Bulldogs into action for 17 regular season matches throughout the course of the spring. The slate includes six contests versus GPAC foes. Concordia is slated to resume the 2022-23 campaign on Feb. 11 when it will host Grand View University (Iowa) inside the Fieldhouse.
Long’s squad got things started in the fall with three dual meets and two tournaments. The Bulldogs stand at 1-2 with the victory coming over Bethel College (Kan.). Concordia was defeated by Iowa Central Community College and William Jewell College (Mo.). The Bulldogs are coming off a 2021-22 season that saw them place third in the GPAC while finishing at 9-9 overall (4-2 GPAC). Concordia has a different looking lineup in 2023 after it said goodbye to four key seniors from last year’s roster. The most experienced returners include the likes of Juan Rabellino, Eduardo Rojas and Shawn Springer.
The spring 2023 schedule is heavy on opponents from the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference as Concordia will go up against Bethany College, Kansas Wesleyan University, the University of Saint Mary, Sterling College and Tabor College. Three nonconference matches will take place at home. GPAC play will get started on March 25 when Hastings will make a visit to the Bulldog Tennis Courts. The Bulldogs will face defending GPAC champion Midland in Fremont on April 15.
The GPAC Men’s Tennis Championships will be held in Fremont on April 28-29. National qualifiers will advance to play at the 2023 NAIA Tennis National Championships in Mobile, Ala., May 16-20.
