Six Bulldog men's tennis players collect All-GPAC honors

SEWARD, Neb. – Six Bulldogs represented the Concordia University men’s tennis team with 2019 GPAC all-conference honors, as announced by the league on Monday (May 6). Concordia was honored with six singles and four doubles All-GPAC accolades. The GPAC all-conference teams are separated by singles and doubles. Head coach David DeSimone’s squad finished the campaign at 10-10 overall and reached the GPAC postseason semifinals.

Landing singles All-GPAC honors were senior Thomas Greeff (Pretoria, South Africa), junior Lucas Zoller (Lenexa, Kan.) and freshmen Isaac Howes (Shawnee, Kan.) and Jack Kitson (Omaha, Neb.). Honorable mention singles accolades went to junior Jeremy Berryman (Broken Arrow, Okla.) and senior Conner Works (Lincoln, Neb.). In doubles, the duo of Berryman and Greeff picked up All-GPAC team laurels while honorable mention went to the combo of Kitson and Zoller.

At No. 4 singles, Howes put up the team’s top overall (13-7) and GPAC (5-1) records this past season. Works also went 5-1 in GPAC singles matches while playing mostly at the No. 5 position. At the top of the lineup, Greeff recorded a 3-2 conference mark and Zoller went 4-2 at No. 2. The doubles pairs of Berryman and Greeff and Kitson and Zoller both went 2-3 in GPAC competitions. Kitson was 10-10 overall in doubles matches.
