
SEWARD, Neb. – Concordia University, Nebraska Men’s Tennis gathers another honor from the league office on Wednesday (April 23). Grady Works was awarded the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Tennis Player of the Week after sweeping his opponents last week. Works joins Nick Velders (March 26) to be selected for the honor in the 2025 season.
The Lincoln Southwest product teamed up with Manuel Rodriguez for senior day, defeating Doane’s No. 3 pair without a blemish (6-0). His onslaught continued at No. 3 singles, defeating Andre Hartman in consecutive sets (6-2, 6-3) toward the team’s 7-0 victory over the Tigers.
A Lincoln, Neb., native, Works has a 12-3 singles record this season, essentially flipping his showing from last year (3-13). He has a 5-3 doubles record with Rodriguez and a 7-4 performance in dual play through 11 sets.
Concordia will again face Doane in the GPAC quarterfinals on Thursday (April 24). The two teams will meet at the First Serve Tennis Center at 11 a.m. CT.
