Zoller nets GPAC Player of the Week award

SEWARD, Neb. – A consistent performer in the Concordia University men’s tennis lineup throughout his career, junior Luke Zoller was recognized by the GPAC on Wednesday (March 27). The league tabbed Zoller as the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. Teammate Jeremy Berryman earned the same award a week earlier.

Zoller and the Bulldogs (6-4) have now won two-straight matches by 9-0 scores. The latest dominant win came on March 21 at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Zoller won at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-2, and also teamed up with freshman Jack Kitson on an 8-4 victory in No. 2 doubles. A native of Lenexa, Kan., Zoller owns season records of 4-6 in singles and 4-6 in doubles. Last season as a sophomore, Zoller earned All-GPAC honors in both doubles and singles (honorable mention).

Zoller and company will attempt to move to 2-0 in conference play when they host Hastings in a match set for a 4 p.m. CT first serve today (March 27) at the Bulldog Tennis Courts on campus.
