It was anyone’s ballgame on Tuesday (March 21) as Concordia Men’s Tennis battled to the finish with NCAA Division III Central College. Ultimately, close matches won by Manuel Rodriguez and Shawn Springer lifted the Bulldogs.
For his role in wins over Bethany College and Kansas Wesleyan University, Hugo Fuentes was named the GPAC Player of the Week. The freshman Fuentes went 2-0 at No. 2 singles in those matches.
The road trip into Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference territory was a fruitful one for the Concordia Men’s Tennis. The Bulldogs went 10-2 in singles play and claimed victories over Bethany, 7-0, and Kansas Wesleyan, 4-3.
