Einspahr appears among OWH coach of the year candidates
SEWARD, Neb. – After leading Concordia men's track and field to the program’s first GPAC titles ever, 22nd-year leader Kregg Einspahr appeared on the Omaha World-Herald’s list of nominees for midlands college male coach of the year. Not only did the Bulldogs win the indoor conference title, they earned a clean sweep by dominating the GPAC outdoor championship. They went on to finish in the top 20 of both the indoor and outdoor national championships.
Einspahr is no stranger to coaching honors having been awarded GPAC men’s coach of the year accolades this past year for both indoor and outdoor. The NAIA Hall of Famer has been named a conference or regional coach of the year for track and field or cross country more than 30 times in his distinguished career.
Einspahr has guided his squads to nine combined cross country conference titles and four track and field championships. Since 2000, Einspahr’s teams have been NAIA national runner up six times in track or cross country. The 2012 Bulldog men’s cross country squad, led by GPAC Cross Country Runner of the Year Colin Morrissey, became the latest cross country team under Einspahr to win the conference title.
