SEWARD, Neb. – The GPAC office has announced this week’s Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week as Concordia’s Samantha Liermann. This is the freshman’s first career weekly honor.

Liermann, a native of Wisner, Neb., posted personal bests in the shot put and hammer throw at last week’s Nebraska Wesleyan University Open meet. The heave of 46-06.75 in the shot put is a national qualifying mark and places her second on the NAIA leaderboard behind Kali Robb, also a Concordia student-athlete. In the hammer throw, Liermann achieved a ‘B’ standard mark of 156-04.

This is the fifth time this season that a Bulldog has obtained GPAC weekly accolades and the second time on the women’s side.

Liermann will look to add to her All-GPAC shot put performance in the indoor season as the Bulldogs will be competing in the GPAC Championships Friday and Saturday of this week in Hastings, Neb.
