
SEWARD, Neb. – After one weekend away from home, Concordia University, Nebraska Track & Field is set to return to the Walz Fieldhouse on Friday to host the Concordia Indoor Invitational. Athletes from nine institutions are expected to compete in what will mark the Bulldogs’ fourth and final home meet of the 2024-25 indoor season. Head Coach Matt Beisel’s squads competed last week at the Fred Beile Classic hosted by Doane. This week’s meet will represent the final outing prior to the GPAC Championships.

The tally of NAIA ‘A’ and ‘B’ national qualifying standards grew at the Beile Classic. Through four full weekends of indoor competition, Concordia athletes have combined for seven A and eight B standards. The newest auto mark was produced by sophomore Addie Reimer in the high jump. She led a strong group of high jumpers at the Beile Classic, which saw Jaxon Lipker and Amanda Steinke also achieve B standards. As a program, the Bulldogs own four marks that rank inside the top five of the NAIA, courtesy of Mayson Ostermeyer in the pole vault, the women’s 4x400-meter relay, Abi Wohlgemuth in the weight throw and Adrianna Rodencal in the 60-meter hurdles. On Tuesday (Feb. 4), the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its second set of national rankings for the 2024-25 indoor season. Within the NAIA, the Bulldogs landed at No. 14 on the women’s side and at No. 19 on the men’s side. The same organization rates Concordia as having the NAIA’s best event group in the men’s race walk. The Bulldogs are rated No. 2 nationally in the women’s pentathlon, the women’s triple jump, women’s weight throw and men’s weight throw.
In addition to action that takes place at the Concordia Invite this weekend, select Bulldogs will compete at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational at the Devaney Center in Lincoln. Rodencal is expected to be one of those athletes that heads to Lincoln. More information on the Husker Invite can be found HERE.
