SEWARD, Neb. – As senior Adrianna Rodencal keeps hurdling barriers, the awards keep piling up for the national champion. On Wednesday (April 22), the Concordia University, Nebraska Track & Field star was named the GPAC/Hauff Mid America Sports Women’s Track Athlete of the Week and the NAIA National Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. Rodencal has been chosen as the NAIA National Athlete of the Week for the second time in a four-week span. Rodencal was also honored by the USTFCCCA as a national weekly award winner during this past indoor season.

Rodencal has made a habit of resetting her own program standards. The Lincoln Lutheran alum turned heads at last week’s Dutcher Memorial (at Doane) by clocking personal bests of 13.04 in the 100-meter hurdles and 58.02 in the 400-meter hurdles – both top times in the NAIA this season. According to the USTFCCCA lists, Rodencal’s time in the 100 hurdles is the second fastest in NAIA history. Her time in the 400 hurdles sits No. 7 all-time in the NAIA. Her previous PRs were 13.37 in the 100 hurdles and 58.90 in the 400 hurdles.

After earning four All-America awards as a junior in 2024-25, Rodencal is working on one of the most impressive seasons in Concordia Track & Field history. Her fifth career All-America award came at this past NAIA indoor meet in the form of a 60-meter hurdle national title. In addition, Rodencal is an 11-time GPAC champion and a four-time GPAC Athlete of the Year. Academically, Rodencal has earned Academic All-America (College Sports Communicators) and NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors. Rodencal is a Biochemistry major.

Rodencal is scheduled to appear at the Drake Relays on Friday and potentially on Saturday (pending finals qualification). A rundown of this week’s schedule for Bulldog Track & Field can be found HERE.
