Rodencal earns third career NAIA Midwest Region Women's Track Athlete of the Year award

SEWARD, Neb. – The remarkable Adrianna Rodencal can now claim a sweep of 2026 NAIA Midwest Region Women’s Track Athlete of the Year indoor and outdoor awards. On Friday (May 15), the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honored Rodencal with her third career regional athlete of the year award. The coaches organization recognizes athletes and coaches of the year in five separate regions across the NAIA.

From the USTFCCCA release:

“Rodencal posted a pair of all-time marks in the hurdles during the regular season. She ranks third on the record-legal NAIA all-time chart in the 100-meter hurdles at 13.14 (+0.9) and eighth in the 400H at 58.02. On an all-conditions basis, Rodencal sits second on the all-time chart in the 100H at 13.04 (+3.9), a mark she ran at the Jim Dutcher Memorial. Rodencal hurdled to a pair of titles at the GPAC Outdoor Championships and was named Athlete of the Year.”

The Lincoln Lutheran alum is gearing up for the eighth and final NAIA Championship meet of her legendary Concordia University, Nebraska Track & Field career. Rodencal has raised her game to another level as a senior. The highlights during the 2025-26 indoor/outdoor seasons have included a national title in the 60-meter hurdles and a rewriting of her own school and GPAC meet records in all hurdles events. This outdoor season, Rodencal was honored as the NAIA National Women’s Track Athlete of the Week three times by the NAIA. In her career, she is a five-time GPAC Athlete of the Year, five-time All-American and a 14-time GPAC champion. Rodencal has also collected numerous academic awards (including Academic All-America honors from College Sports Communicators) while studying Biochemistry.

At the upcoming NAIA Outdoor Championships, Rodencal will compete in the 100 and 400 hurdles while also taking part in the 4x1 and 4x4 relays. The meet will run May 20-22 in Asheville, N.C. More details about the national meet can be found HERE.
