SEWARD, Neb. – Adrianna Rodencal is just getting started when it comes to her senior season on the track. Yet another reset of her own 60-meter hurdles school standard resulted in recognition on Wednesday (Jan. 21) as the league office tabbed Rodencal the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. Rodencal has earned eight GPAC Athlete of the Week awards during her standout collegiate career.
In kicking off the second semester, Rodencal shined at the Graduate Classic (Jan. 16-17) hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The Lincoln Lutheran alum outkicked nine NCAA Division I competitors while winning the 60-meter hurdles competition with a finals time of 8.41 seconds (following a preliminary time of 8.45). The four-time All-American stands atop the NAIA national leaderboard in the event. Rodencal previously ran 8.43 at the Bulldog Early Bird in December.
Through three seasons and the early part of her senior year, Rodencal has established herself as one of the top athletes in Concordia Track & Field history. In addition to the 60-meter hurdles standard, Rodencal owns school records in the 100-meter hurdles (13.37), 400-meter hurdles (58.90) and 4x100-meter relay (46.80). She is a four-time GPAC Athlete of the Year. Rodencal is a Biochemistry major.
