
SEWARD, Neb. – Excellence across three different events at the opening meet of the 2026 outdoor season yielded a national honor for Concordia University, Nebraska Track & Field senior Adrianna Rodencal. On Wednesday (April 1), the national champion was named NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track National Athlete of the Week and GPAC Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week. She has earned a GPAC weekly award for the third time during the 2025-26 academic year (and for the 10th time in her career). Rodencal also garnered a national athlete of the week award from the USTFCCCA during the indoor season.
Rodencal has picked up where she left off this past indoor season. At the Central Nebraska Challenge on March 29, Rodencal clocked automatic national qualifying times of 13.55 in the 100-meter hurdles and 59.32 in the 400-hurdles. The Lincoln Lutheran High School alum sports national rankings of first in the 100 hurdles and second in the 400 hurdles. Rodencal also ran the anchor leg for the 4x100-meter relay that posted an NAIA ‘B’ standard of 46.99 (10th best in the NAIA) at the Central Nebraska Challenge.
Rodencal continues to add to a resume that includes a 60-meter hurdles national title, five All-America awards, 11 GPAC championships and four GPAC Athlete of the Year awards. This outdoor season, Rodencal will attempt to break her own school records in the 100 hurdles (13.37), 400 hurdles (58.90) and 4x1 relay (46.80). Next up for Rodencal and the Bulldogs will be this Monday (April 6)’s Concordia Invite.
