SEWARD, Neb. – Head coach Matt Beisel’s track and field program has unveiled its 2020-21 indoor schedule. Bulldog athletes will be represented at 12 official meets throughout the campaign, which is slated to officially begin with the Bulldog Early Bird Meet (Dec. 11-12). This past indoor season, Concordia turned in GPAC finishes of first on the women’s side and third on the men’s side and NAIA national finishes of fourth for women and 17th for men.

The 2021 indoor schedule features many of the usual meets that are held each year. To avoid the weekend of the Concordia Invitational Tournament (basketball), the track program has moved the Concordia University Classic (Feb. 5) to early February for this year only. The annual Concordia Classic will be one of four indoor home meets, including the Bulldog Early Bird Meet, Concordia Polar Dog Invite (Jan. 23) and the Concordia University Invite (Feb. 13).

The Bulldogs will stay in Nebraska for the majority of the indoor season, but a couple of new meets have made their way onto the 2021 slate: the Mount Marty University Invite (Jan. 15-16) and Buena University’s Dennis Young Classic (Jan. 29-30).

The 2021 GPAC Indoor Championships will be hosted by Dordt and take place Feb. 19-20. For the third year in a row, the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex will be the site of the NAIA Indoor National Championships (March 4-6).

For indoor season, Beisel’s squad will return eight 2020 All-Americans: Rachel Battershell, Chase Berry, Mika Brees, Morgan De Jong, Sarah Lewis, Jacee Pfeifer, Josie Puelz and Xavier Ross.
