The Concordia University track and field programs combined for 10 GPAC event titles and claimed team finishes of second (men) and third (women) at the conference outdoor championships held in Fremont on Friday and Saturday.
Three different Bulldogs combined for four GPAC individual titles on the opening day of the conference outdoor championships. The Bulldog women are leading the GPAC while the men are currently in second.
It’s GPAC week for the top 10 nationally-ranked Concordia track and field squads. After indoor conference placements of second (men) and fourth (women), the Bulldogs have their sights set on moving up the ladder.
After breaking her own school standard at the Drake Relays, sophomore Allie Brooks has once again been named a GPAC athlete of the week. Brooks is currently ranked second nationally in the pole vault.
Allie Brooks continues to star as one of the top female vaulters in the nation. She proved herself amongst a loaded field at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, on Saturday.
Lucas Wiechman shined in the decathlon and two new automatic qualifying marks were turned in by Bulldog athletes in this week's action. Wiechman and several others are competing at the prestigious Drake Relays.
Twelve athletes will represent the Concordia track and field program at the prestigious Drake Relays. Among the highlights will be Lucas Wiechman's first attempt at the decathlon this outdoor season.
