2024-25 Concordia Shooting Sports Schedule
SEWARD, Neb. – The Concordia University Shooting Sports program has announced a 2024-25 schedule complete with 11 events throughout the fall and spring semesters. Just like the previous three seasons, the slate will get started with the Fort Hays State University Fall Intercollegiate Shoot in September. There will be seven events during the fall season and four events during the spring season.
Dylan Owens is set to enter his third season as Head Coach of Concordia Shooting Sports. The previous two seasons, he’s led the Bulldogs to finishes of third at the 2023 NCSSAA National Championships (Division IV) and seventh at the 2024 ACUI Collegiate Clay Target National Championships (Division 2). At the 2024 national event, Jessie Ciezki (women’s open skeet) and Claire Kee (women’s open super sporting) both claimed individual national titles. There 15 Bulldogs who represented the program at the national championships in San Antonio, Texas.
In terms of number of competitions, the months of September and October will be the most active for Concordia in 2024-25. In a twist new to this season, the ninth annual Concordia Bulldog Sporting Invitational has been moved to the spring semester and will take place Feb. 28 – March 1, 2025, at Oak Creek Sporting Club in Brainard, Neb.
The Iowa Western Community College Invite (March 8-9) will then serve as the final tune-up prior to the 2025 ACUI Collegiate Clay Target National Championships slated for March 16-22 in San Antonio. The Prairie Circuit Conference Championships will remain in the fall and will be contested Sept. 27-29 in North Platte, Neb. Concordia placed third in the conference last season.
