Courtesy of their efforts at the NCSSAA National Championships, four Bulldogs have been named 2023 All-Americans. The accolades went to Sam Blevins, Wyatt Hambly, Tanner Muff and Katelyn Welker.

A group of 22 Bulldogs represented the program at the NCSSAA National Championships and helped the team to a third-place overall finish. Individual national titles were won by Wyatt Hambly, Sam Blevins and Claire Kee.

The 2023 NCSSAA National Championships get started on March 14 for the Bulldogs and the field of qualifiers present in Vegas. Twenty-two athletes will represent Concordia at Clark County Shooting Complex.

Bulldogs Sam Blevins, Jack Nelson and Haley Schmutzer each competed at the 2023 Spring Selection Match sponsored by USA Shooting in Tucson, Ariz., Feb. 5-8. Blevins led the way by placing third overall and earning a M21 bronze medal.

In the final outing of the fall, Concordia added four national qualifiers to the season tally while placing fifth HOA out of a field of 18 teams. The Bulldogs were led by Wyatt Hambly, Tanner Muff and Buchannan Tietjen HOA.

Nine Bulldogs tested their skills in either international trap or international skeet while in action at the Greater Midwest Super Shoot on Thursday (Oct. 27). Seven of the nine Bulldogs cracked at least 80 targets in their respective events.

Led by the performances of Sam Blevins and Tanner Muff, the Bulldogs placed third high overall at the NCSSAA Central Region Qualifier in Waukee, Iowa. The yields to this point in the fall are 14 individual national qualifiers.

While hosting the seventh annual Concordia Bulldog Sporting Invitational, the Bulldogs placed fourth out of 11 teams in a competition that included more than 150 athletes. Tanner Muff led Concordia from an individual perspective.

The seventh annual Concordia Bulldog Sporting Invitational will be held this Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 1-2) at Oak Creek Sporting Club. Coach Dylan Owens and his program will welcome roughly 150 shooters to the home course.

Behind six all-conference award winners, the Bulldogs placed third at the Prairie Circuit Conference Championships held in North Platte, Neb., Sept. 23-25. Angeline Wolfert starred as the top female freshman at the competition.
