Following a record breaking 2020-21 season that raised the bar again for the program, the Bulldogs are readying for even better in 2021-22. Concordia opens the season at the Fort Hays State Shoot.
The 2021-22 Concordia Shooting Sports schedule will feature 11 official events, including the sixth annual Concordia Bulldog Sporting Invitational. The season wraps up in the spring at the ACUI National Championships.
With his performances at in Kerville, Texas, this April, freshman Jack Nelson (Kimberly, Idaho) earned a spot in the USA Shotgun National Junior Team.
In action in San Antonio, Concordia Shooting Sports closed the 2020-21 season with a seventh-place finish at the ACUI National Championships. Erin Lokke closed her collegiate career with a title in skeet.
The likes of Wyatt Hambly, Russell Malterud and Sarah Schwacher (HOA female title) led the Bulldogs to a third-place team finish at the Doane Invite (March 6-7) in Lincoln.
In its first action since October, Concordia Shooting Sports placed third out of eight teams at the Lindenwood Invitational. The team's top shooters were Erin Lokke on the women's side and Wyatt Hambly on the men's side.
The charitable work of the Concordia Shooting Sports team received recognition from the Scholastic Clay Target Program website with a blog post written by Coach Scott Moniot.
In a unique event, the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) sponsored a virtual competition for colleges across the nation. The Bulldogs took first place in both trap and skeet.
Behind HOA champions Colten Uitermarkt and Sarah Schwacher, the Bulldogs took first place at the Hastings Bronco Invite (Oct. 10-11). It marked the team's third event title this fall.
While hosting the fifth annual Concordia Bulldog Sporting Invitational, the Bulldogs placed second out of seven squads. Monica Dale and Colten Uitermarkt won HOA individual titles.
