2024 GPAC Preseason Volleyball Coaches’ Poll
SEWARD, Neb. – Coming off a share of the 2023 GPAC regular season championship, the Concordia University Volleyball program will enter 2024 with a lofty ranking. The Bulldogs came in at No. 2 in the 2024 GPAC Preseason Volleyball Coaches’ Poll released on Thursday (Aug. 8) by the league office. Concordia picked up 111 points and one first-place vote in the poll. Northwestern pulled in the other 11 first-place votes and stood atop the preseason poll.
Head Coach Ben Boldt and top assistant Angie Boldt have led the Bulldogs to national tournament appearances in each of the past five years (all resulted in trips to the final site in Sioux City, Iowa). The Boldts welcomed the 2024 squad to campus on Tuesday and began official practice on Wednesday morning. The squad features two-time All-American Gabi Nordaker and returning All-GPAC honorees in Becca Gebhardt, Ashley Keck and Cassidy Knust.
Concordia will quickly get the ’24 campaign started when it hosts the Bulldog Bash (Aug. 16-17). As part of the event, the Bulldogs will take on Lewis-Clark State College (Idaho) and Oklahoma City University. The complete schedule can be found HERE.
During the summer, Ben Boldt was named the Midlands College Coach of the Year by the Omaha World-Herald. For additional reading, check out Concordia Athletics features on Gabi Nordaker and the team’s spring season.
