
SEWARD, Neb. – Already lauded as GPAC and Mid-North Region Assistant Coach of the Year, Angie Boldt has earned distinction on the national level. On Tuesday (Dec. 16), the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Boldt as the 2025 NAIA National Assistant Coach of the Year. Angie Boldt just completed her eighth season as the top assistant for Concordia University, Nebraska Volleyball. Her official title has been upgraded to Associate Head Volleyball Coach.
Angie Boldt helped lead the 2025 Bulldogs to a historic season that concluded with the first NAIA national semifinal appearance in program history. Concordia wrapped up the campaign at 28-4 overall for the winningest season for Bulldog Volleyball in the GPAC era (2000-present). The 2025 Concordia team placed as the conference regular season and postseason runner up. At the national tournament, the Bulldogs earned wins over Florida National, No. 22 Dakota Wesleyan, No. 14 The Master’s (Calif.) and No. 6 Providence (Mont.).
The tenure of the Boldts, Angie and Ben, has coincided with the most successful time period in Concordia Volleyball history. The Bulldogs have reached the NAIA national championship final site in seven straight years, have advanced to five straight GPAC tournament title matches and have appeared in the top five of 24 consecutive NAIA coaches’ polls. With the national tournament quarterfinal win over Providence, Ben Boldt became the winningest head coach in program history. His overall record stands at 182-55.
In conjunction with the coach and player of the year awards released on Dec. 16, three Concordia players were named All-Americans: Ashley Keck (first team), Ella Waters (second team) and Ava Greene (honorable mention).
