Bulldogs hold on for 3-2 win over Mount Marty

Concordia University rallied for a 3-2 GPAC volleyball win over Mount Marty College on Saturday afternoon in Yankton.  Scores of the match were 30-28, 23-25, 16-25, 25-22 and 15-11.  The Bulldogs moved to 9-14 overall with a 2-6 mark in the GPAC.  Mount Marty fell to 5-16 overall with a 1-7 conference record.  

Amanda Kisker (Lincoln, Neb.) led the way with a double-double of 18 kills and 11 digs.  Her 18 kills was a match-high.  Marlee Denton (Fremont, Neb.) added eight kills, while Ashlea Vaudt (Kalispell, Mont.) and Amanda Abbott (Temecula, Calif.) added seven kills apiece.  Alexa Hopping (Sutherland, Neb.) handed out 26 assists and added 10 digs, and Kayla James (Gibbon, Neb.) added 14 assists on the day.  Carli Smith (Temecula, Calif.) had 15 digs to lead the way defensively for the Bulldogs.

Emily Schreur had a team-best 12 kills for Mount Marty.  Carlie Lambert added nine kills for the Lancers. 

Concordia travels to Midland University on October 12.
