2024 Concordia Volleyball Schedule

SEWARD, Neb. – The Concordia University Volleyball program will serve up the 2024 season prior to the start of the 2024-25 academic year. The annual Bulldog Bash will kick off the new campaign in the middle of August as the Bulldogs build upon another season of national prominence. Head Coach Ben Boldt’s program has announced a ’24 slate featuring a total of 24 regular season varsity matches, including 16 against GPAC opponents.

For the first time since the 2018 season, Concordia will no longer be able to lean upon All-American outsider hitter Camryn Opfer. The Bulldogs also said goodbye to All-American setter Bree Burtwistle and Second Team All-GPAC right side Carly Rodaway. However, Concordia will bring back All-American middle Gabi Nordaker along with fellow All-GPAC honorees in Ashley Keck (second team), Becca Gebhardt (honorable mention) and Cassidy Knust (honorable mention). Boldt’s program is coming off a 2023 season that saw it go 25-4 overall with a share of the GPAC regular season title.

As part of the Bulldog Bash (Aug. 16-17), Concordia will welcome Lewis-Clark State College (Idaho) and Oklahoma City University to Friedrich Arena. The nonconference slate will continue with the Columbia College Power Quad (Aug. 23-24) in Columbia, Mo., and the College of Saint Mary Labor Day Classic (Aug. 30-31). At the CSM Labor Day Classic, the Bulldogs will take on perennial national qualifiers Bellevue University and Viterbo University (Wis.), as well as Oklahoma Panhandle State University. As of this release, opponents for the Columbia Quad have not yet been announced.

The GPAC schedule opens on Sept. 4 with a trip to Mount Marty. Among other notable dates, Concordia Volleyball will be part of the homecoming schedule on Sept. 28 for a showdown with Northwestern and will celebrate the senior class on Oct. 12 when it hosts Morningside. The Bulldogs will venture to Forest City, Iowa, home to the GPAC’s newest member, Waldorf University, on Oct. 4. Waldorf replaces Jamestown (which is in the process of moving to NCAA Division II). The conference schedule will conclude on Nov. 5 with a visit to rival Midland.

Dates for the GPAC tournament are Nov. 9 for the quarterfinals, Nov. 13 for the semifinals and Nov. 16 for the championship match. The 2024 NAIA National Championship tournament will get started with the opening round on Nov. 23. For those who advance, the season will continue onto the national tournament final site (Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa) for action from Dec. 4-10.
