Six Bulldogs named as 2011 scholar-athletes

The NAIA released its 2011 volleyball Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes on Friday.  A total of 392 student-athletes received the honor this year. 

Concordia University placed six on this year’s list.  Seniors Kaylie Mellema (Axtell, Neb.) and Ashlea Vaudt (Kalispell, Mont.) received the honor.  Juniors Angela Bruhn (Creston, Neb.), Amanda Kisker (Lincoln, Neb.), Kim Miller (Mason City, Iowa) and Lindsea Vaudt (Kalispell, Mont.) also were recognized from the 2011 Bulldog squad. 

Student-athletes are nominated by their school’s head coach and must maintain a minimum grade points average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status in order to qualify.
